What is Protocol

Computer need a rules, guidance  and instruction if the computers wanted to communicate with other computers. For instance when the computers A wanted to say Hello to computers B, the message cannot be sent directly in a text form. The massage that computer A wrote should be turn into an electronic signal first and then it will be transmitted via Internet and it should be turn back into text form in order to let the text appear on the monitor screen of computer B. Moreover, there are many ways for computer to communicate and that why there are vary types of protocol. Some of the example of protocols is :-

2. PPP
3. SLIP
4. HTTP
5. FTP
